Final state rankings for 2008 were announced. Fairport was tied for third.

I swam for Fairport all through high school. I wasn't very good, but swimming became a huge part of my life. I thought it would be neat to collect as much information about the people who swam for Fairport.

I have good information for most of the teams, dating back to 1975. (Thanks to many contributors) Any additional information or updates is greatly appreciated.

Fairport High School swimming has been a perennial powerhouse not only in Section V, but also in New York state for the past 25 years. At one point the team collected 17 consecutive section V titles. The team has also been ranked number one in New York state more often than not. My data is incomplete, but I haven't seen a ranking lower than third in the last 25 years.

Fairport swimming is also a program that breeds friendships and excellent work ethics. I made many good friends through the program. There was a tight knit group of four, that I was in, that stuck together all through high school, college and beyond.
