Did you know?

February 25, 2005 - Over the past 25 years, Fairport (20) and Pittsford (5) are the only schools that have won the Class A guys swimming championship. But lately the current has shifted. Fairport won 17 straight titles from 1982-97, but with Sunday's convincing victory (490-373) Pittsford has now won three straight and five of the last eight.

Pittsford Sutherland had been the area's dominant team in the 1960s and early '70s.

"We've definitely established ourselves as a power,'' said Pittsford co-captain Greg Conklin. "But we know Fairport and Penfield are too and everyone's probably going to be gunning for Pittsford next year."
