5 Fairport swimmers named to AGR Team |

Fairport High School's Peter Koenig, Dylan Scheemaker, Connor Harrington, James Beaudry and Dhruv Tyagi were named to the 2008 All-Greater Rochester Boys Swim Team. Koenig, a senior, is a three-time All-America qualifier. He won the Section V Class A 100-yard backstroke and swam on Fairport's Class A champion 200-yard medley relay team. Scheemaker won Class A titles in the 200-yard medley relay and the 100-yard butterfly. He plans to swim and major in physical education/graphic design at Cortland next year. Harrington, a senior, was a member of the Section V Class A champion medley relay team that also finished sixth at the state meet. Beaudry, a senior, is a two-time member of the Section V Class A winning 200-yard medley relay team. He also finished fourth in the 100-yard freestyle and seventh in the 200-yard freestyle at sectionals. Tyagi, a sophomore diver, was unbeaten all season and won the won Section V Class A diving championship. He also finished fourth at sectionals in the backstroke. He competed in the state meet in diving, finishing seventh. Koenig, Scheemaker, Beaudry and Tyagi are all repeat selections to the AGR team. A total of 18 swimmers were named to the 2008 AGR squad.
