Fairport 81.5, Greece Arcadia/Olympia 63.5 January 17, 2008 Georger, Santini double winners The Fairport boys swimming and diving team downed the visiting Greece Thunder last Thursday, 81.5-63.5. Brandon Georger and Tyler Santini both were double winners as the Red Raiders posted 32 personal best times. The 200 medley relay set the tone of the meet with the team of Jon Steffen, Kyle Kauffman, Peter Koenig, and Aria Salehi finishing first with a time of 1:53.81. The team of Connor Harrington, Jake Robbins, Georger, and Jim Beaudry touched second. Santini swam a personal best of 2:12.48 to take first place in the 200 free, and Kauffman had a personal best in the 200 individual medley as he won in 2:19.02. Jake Horowitz touched third. Tyler Benson won the 50 free with a personal best of 24.80, while Salehi tied for second place. Harrington finished fourth. Fairport took the top three places in the diving event. Dhruv Tyagi remained undefeated in dual meets this year. Jonathan Snelgrove’s point total of 145.32 was a personal best and earned him second place, while Peter Shipman took third. Georger swam a personal best of 1:07.44 to take first place in the 100 butterfly. Fairport took another first place in the 100 free as Steffen easily won in 53.55. Andrew Koenig claimed first place for the Red Raiders in the 500 free with a time of 5:53.84. Georger and Santini both placed first for the second time against the Thunder. Georger’s time of 1:07.10 in the 100 back was a personal best, while Santini’s time of 1:15.09 was also a best time in the 100 breast.
