Raiders down Trojans

The Lady Red Raiders downed the Lady Trojans last Tuesday afternoon at Greece
Olympia High School, 100-68.

The Fairport 200 medley relay teams of Kaitlin Holden, Carly Coughlin, Stephanie
Gross, and Jenna Wood placed first in 1 minute, 59.77 seconds. The teams of Brenna O’Neill, Michelle DuFault, Emily Gardner, and Carrie Ostrom; and Marci Woytash, April Miller, Staci Woytash and Nadia Keenan all had strong races.

Athena won the 200 free as Andrea Hageman came in second. Melanie Baron and
Esther Shin posted season best times.

Fairport’s April Miller won the 200 individual medley (2:35.42) as Brenna O’Neill and
Nadia Keenan swam well against their Greece competition.

Kaitlin Holden captured first in the 50 free (27.23) as Katelin Webster and Meghan Ingerick also competed for the Raiders.

The Fairport’s Jenny Chiang claimed first place in diving with a total of 221.90 points.

In the 100 butterfly. Emily Gardner took first (1:03.07) as Staci Woytash and Ostrom
turned in strong races. Coughlin swam a first place finish in the 100 free (1:00.22) while teammates Gross and Nicole Stuver were close behind.

Wood finished first in the 500 free (5:25.46), followed by Staci Woytash and Webster.

The Trojans placed first in the 200 free relay, but the teams of Meghan Ingerick,
Emily Gardner, Webster, and Shin, and Coughlin, Chiang, Ostrom, and Stuver added to the Fairport’s points.

The Raiders added to the score in the 100 back with Holden capturing first (1:07.45). Marci Woytash and Keenan also swam.

Hageman led Fairport in the 100 breast (1:13.88) followed by DuFault and O’Neill.
Athena won the 400 free relay to close out the meet.
