On Thursday, Dec. 7, Fairport’s varsity boys swimming and diving teams took on Churchville-Chili at home. Fairport easily won their first Section 5 Class A meet with a score of 102-77, to improve their record to 1-1 on the season. In the medley relay Fairport finished 1-2. The team of Chris Razavi,
Connor Harrington, Jim Beaudry and Peter Koenig touched out Matt McGrath,
Jake Fisher, With a 12-2 lead, Fairport finished 1-3-4 in the 200 free. Koenig took
first with Nate The 200 individual medley also saw Fairport finish 1-3-4. Fisher, Steffan, and Harrington added to Fairport’s growing lead. Steffan touched in a personal best of 2:15.42, earning him a trip to sectionals. In the 50 free, the team of Razavi, Aria Salehi, and McGrath helped
Fairport, finishing Fairport’s divers had a strong performance. All three divers had season-high scores. Jordan Ingerick took second, Colin Endsley placed third and Nick Greco finished fifth. Beaudry, Jones, and Salehi had a strong performance in the 100 butterfly.
Beaudry Fisher, Koenig, and Kyle Mihaljevic swam the 100 free. With Fisher swimming exhibition, Koenig touched in second place with Mihaljevic in third. Mihaljevic swam a personal best of 57.35. In the 500 free, McLaughlin and Kyle Kauffman swam personal bests taking
first and In the 200 freestyle relay, Koenig, McLaughlin, Razavi, and Kauffman
finished first. Harrington and Mihaljevic finished 1-2 in the 100 back. Both achieved
best times, Kauffman took first in the 100 yard Breaststroke with a personal best.
