Lauren Dufault

Fairport's Lauren Dufault wins the 200-yard individual medley (2:08.31) during the girls Section V Class A swim meet at the Webster Aquatic Center on Saturday, Nov. 11. Jenna Wood of Fairport was second (2:09.83) and Tessa Snow of Brockport was third (2:10.02).

Dufault also placed second in the 100 freestyle (53.25) and was on the winning 200 relay team (1:36.68).

Brittany Detlef

Rush-Henrietta's Brittany Detlef takes second in the 100-yard butterfly (58.23). Erin McGraw of Fairport set a Section V record to win (55.67), while Brockport's Victoria Brannan finished third (1:00.13).

Erin McGraw

Fairport senior Erin McGraw breaks her own meet record in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.49). Lindsay Wahl of Pittsford was second (1:55.28) and Chelsea Krisanda of Webster Schroeder third (1:56).

McGraw, who was Swimmer of the Meet for the third straight time, also easily broke the Section V record in the 100 butterfly (55.67), and helped set a state record in the 200 relay (1:36.68) and a Section V record in the 400 relay (3:33.13). “It definitely ranks as one of the best days I’ve had,” she said.

McGraw, who recently committed to attend Colgate University, was either the defending state champion, or part of the defending state champion, in each of the four events.

 

Jenny Lewis

Pittsford's Jenny Lewis wins the 100-yard freestyle (52.51). She also won the 100-yard backstroke (56.67) and was on the winning 200 medley relay team.

“I felt good but there’s always room for improvement,” Lewis said. “I’m very critical of how I swim.”

Pittsford won the team title for the fifth straight year with a score of 533.5. Fairport finished second with 441.5 “Fairport has a lot of incredibly fast, really talented swimmers, so when we win it's with our depth,” Lewis said. “We had three or four girls in all the events who made the final heat.”
