On Thursday afternoon, Oct. 12, at the Webster Aquatic Center, Fairport faced Webster- Thomas in their second meet of the week.

The competition started with the 200 medley relay. Fairport relays of Devina Tyagi, Esther Shin, Emily Gardner and Morgan Reisch (1:58.69); Lauren Dufault, Stephanie Gross, Carlyn Robby and Carrie Ostrom (2:02.90); and Meghan Ingerick, Kelly O'Keefe, Susan Yang and April Miller (2:12.64) swam tough against their Webster competition.

The 200 free had Fairport's Erin McGraw (1:56.72), Jenna Wood (2:01.63), Staci Woytash (2:09.33) and Katelin Webster (2:09.65) rounding out four of the eight lanes at the aquatic center.

She-Sharks Carrie Ostrom, Emily Gardner, Brenna O'Neill and Tiffany Chiang all swam the 200 individual medley. O'Neill posted a personal best time of 2:31.42 in the 200 I.M.

Senior Morgan Reisch posted a time of 26.86 in the 50 free, while Esther Shin (27.26), Andrea Hageman (27.42) and Kelly O'Keefe (28.99) rounded out the Fairport swimmers.

Fairport divers Jenny Chiang and Jen Juncosa continued to add to the She-Shark point total. Jenny and Jen delivered their dives and stepped out of the aquatic center diving well with a combined total of 358.85 points.

Lauren Dufault led Fairport in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.0, while teammates Jenna Wood (1:02.53), Katelin Webster (1:09.60) and Susan Yang (1:15.07) were close behind.

Carrie Ostrom led Fairport in the 100 free with a time of 59.07 while teammates Meghan Ingerick (1:00.67), Brenna O'Neill (1:02.97) and Carlyn Robby (1:03.80) were right behind.

Fairport's depth continued to add points in the 500 freestyle. Devina Tyagi (5:36.63) and Esther Shin (5:58.44) contributed with personal best times. Staci Woytash and Stephanie Gross also contributed with strong races in the 500 free.

The 200 free relay had two Fairport relays competing. Tiffany Chiang, Andrea Hageman, Katelin Webster and Esther Shin and Lauren Dufault, Brenna O'Neill, Carlyn Robby and Erin McGraw. Both relays offered stiff competition to the Webster-Thomas squad.

Senior Morgan Reisch came away with a personal best time (1:07.32) in the 100 back. Also swimming for Fairport in the 100 back were Jenny Chiang, Susan Yang and Meghan Ingerick. Emily Gardner produced a personal best time (1:14.88) in the next race, the 100 breast. Also contributing for Fairport were Stephanie Gross, Kelly O'Keefe and April Miller.

Fairport ended the last event of the afternoon, the 400 free relay with the relays of Tiffany Chiang, Staci Woytash, Meghan Ingerick and Susan Yang and Brenna O'Neill, Devina Tyagi, Carrie Ostrom and Carlyn Robby.

Final score: Fairport 108, Webster-Thomas 75.

The JV girls swam strong against Webster Thomas winning 116-54. Fairport took first in all three relays. The 200 medley the team of Prasad, Nemeth, Root and Haun first, Field, Barker, Mula and Keenan third, and Huff, Kahn Whitney, and Pearsall fifth. The 200 free relay, Swieringa, Symonds, Huff and Root were first, Pearsall, Kennan, Barker and Amann were second. Fairport took first, second and fourth in the 400 free relay.

Symonds, Swieringa, Amann went first, second, fourth in the 200 free. In the 200 IM, Kennan, Prasad, and Barker went first, third, fourth. The 50 free, Mula was second, Nemeth third, and Haun fourth. In the 100 fly, Symonds was first, Root was second and Haun fourth. Mula was first in the 100 free with Swieringa second and Nemeth fourth.

The Fairport girls went first, second, third in the 500 free, Whitney won followed by Prasad and Kahn. Huff was first in the 100 back and Field taking second. In the 100 breast Root took fourth and Pearsall fifth.
