On Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 10, at Greece Olympia High School, the meet began with the 200 medley relay. Fairport relays of Jenna Wood, Lauren DuFault, Emily Gardner and Meghan Ingerick; Erin McGraw, April Miller, Brenna O'Neill and Katelin Webster; and Staci Woytash, Carrie Ostrom, Devina Tyagi and Morgan Reisch all had strong races.

In the second event, the 200 freestyle, senior Tiffany Chiang posted a 2:09.13 and junior Stephanie Gross (2:12.84) and sophomore Esther Shin (2:10.95) posted season best times.

The 200 individual medley had Fairport She-Sharks Devina Tyagi (2:22.68), Nicole Stuver (2:35.19) and Susan Yang (2:36.03) swimming well against their Greece competition.

Fairport swimmers Erin McGraw (25.11), Katelin Webster (27.45) and Carlyn Robby (29.08) all competed in the 50 free.

Fairport's Jenny Chiang and Jen Juncosa, were next in the diving event. Jenny claimed first place with a total of 216.25 points and Jen posted a score of 116 points.

The second half of the meet began with the 100 Butterfly. Emily Gardner, Jenna Wood and Carrie Ostrom represented the She-Sharks with strong races. In the 100 freestyle, Fairport senior Lauren Dufault swam a 55.16 while teammates Kelly O'Keefe (1:03.90) and April Miller (1:03.30) were close behind.

In the longest event of the afternoon, the 500 freestyle, senior Tiffany Chiang swam a personal best time of 5:52.04. Rounding out the Fairport swimmers in the 20 lap race was senior Morgan Reisch (5:48.36) and junior Meghan Ingerick (6:03.02).

Fairport continued to show its strength in the 200 free relay. Relays of Morgan Reisch, Jenny Chiang, Esther Shin and Susan Yang; Brenna O'Neill, Carlyn Robby, Nicole Stuver and Kelly O'Keefe; and Katelin Webster, Jenna Wood, April Miller and Devina Tyagi added to the Fairport points.

The team continued to add to the score in the 100 back. Personal best times were recorded for Emily Gardner (1:04.86), Carrie Ostrom (1:10.82) and Stephanie Gross (1:11.34).

Lauren Dufault led Fairport in the 100 breast with a time of 1:12.29, while Devina Tyagi and Staci Woytash posted times of 1:15.79 and 1:21.10, respectively.

The Fairport Swim and Dive Team wrapped up the last event of the afternoon, the 400 free relay, with relays of Brenna O'Neill, Carlyn Robby, Susan Yang and Tiffany Chiang; Katelin Webster, Kelly O'Keefe, Nicole Stuver and Stephanie Gross; and Esther Shin, April Miller, Meghan Ingerick and Staci Woytash.

Final score: Fairport 103, Greece - Athena and Odyssey 76.

Fairport junior varsity girls swim team once again did well in the pool beating Greece 96-70.

In the 200 medley relay, Shruti Prasad, Liz Amann, Mia Root and Jamie Swieringa took first, and the team of Hannah Huff, Chelsely Barker, Lindsey Haun and Jessica Nemeth took third. The 200 free relay, Haun, Nadia Keenan, Michelle Mula and Stephanie Symonds took first, Sarah Field, Dana Hogg, Stephanie Kahn, and Ashley Whitney took third, and Katie Bonaccorso, Melissa Hofer, Masha Vorobeychik, and Meghan George took fourth. In the 400 free relay, coming in second was the team of, Barker, Mula, Root, and Swieringa, in third, Whitney, Kahn, Huff and Field and in fourth, Courtney Pearsal, Hogg, George and Hofer. Swimming the 200 free, Field and Whitney were third, fourth and George was sixth. In the 200 IM, Mula was first, and Amann was third. Nemeth and Rachael Misch were third, fourth in the 50 free. In the 100 fly, Symonds came in first, Nemeth second and Haun third.

Huff was third in the 100 free with Kahn fourth and Hogg fifth. Swieringa came in first in the 500 with Root third and Pearsall fourth. Prasad was first in the 100 back, Barker third and Bonaccorso fourth. In the 100 breast, Symonds took first and Keenan second.
