Fairport 67, Pittsford 119

Nathan French and Andrew Kuter were double winners as Pittsford defeated Fairport 119-67 to clinch its third straight Monroe County Division I title in boys swimming Tuesday.

French won the 200-yard freestyle and 500 freestyle and Kuter won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle for the Panthers, who have won 36 consecutive dual meets.

Fairport was the last team to defeat Pittsford, in 2003.

Peter Koenig edged out Pittsford's Ben Silverstein by 0.01 second in the 100-yard backstroke (56.88) to earn an automatic qualification to the state meet. Silverstein's time of 56.89 also qualifies him for the state meet.
