Fairport 98, East Irondequoit / Eastridge 65

The Fairport varsity swimmers competed in three meets in
five days, and showed they have what it takes.
First up was Eastridge, on Oct. 14. The meet started off with a Fairport
first and second place finishes in the 200 medley relay. The first place
team of Lauren Dufault, Stephanie Gross, Jenna Wood and Carrie Ostrom
touched out teammates Devina Tyagi, Tiffany Chiang, Erin McGraw, and Susan
Yang. Staci Woytash finished first in the second event, the 200 free, with a
personal best time. Andrea Hageman came in second, and Kelly O'Keefe, also
with a personal best time, finished third. Fairport swept the 200 individual
medley, with three personal best times. Katelin Webster took first, Nicole
Stuver second and Chiang third. Adding to Fairport's score in the fourth
event, the 50 free, was Ester Shin in first place and Brenna O'Neill in
third.
The Fairport divers continue to charm the spectators. Gretchen Schroeder led
the team with a first place finish, Jennifer Chiang came in second, and
Rebecca Kraft came in third. In the sixth event, the 100 butterfly, Carly
Callan finished second and O'Keefe finished third, with another personal
best time. The 100 free saw Woytash take second place, while Stuver took
first in the 500 free. In the 100 back, Webster took first place, swimming a
personal best time. Sarah Lakehal-Ayat finished third, also with a personal
best time. Yang raced to a first place finish in the 100 breast. The final
score was Fairport 98, Eastridge 65.
