Fairport continued their strong performances in their second meet of the week against Gates Chili.

The afternoon began with the 200 medley relay. Devina Tyagi, Lindsey Burris. Marlys Fuqua and Kendra Hogg finished with a time of 2:02.84, closely followed by Heather Moore, Jenn Kaminska, Stephanie Gross and Erin McGraw (2:04.68) and Carrie Ostrom, Susan Yang, Carly Callan and Andrea Hageman (2:15.40).

The She-Sharks continued to build momentum in the 200 free with strong performances by Lauren Dufault (2:00.14), Emily Gardner (2:06.72) and Morgan Reisch (2:11.73). In the 200 I.M. Fairport was lead by E. McGraw with a time of 2:14.33, followed by Staci Woytash (2:28.69) and S. Yang (2:35.74). The 50 free saw strong performances by all three of the Fairport swimmers - M. Fuqua (26.47) T. Chiang (28.63) and Sarah Lakehal-Ayat (30.14).

The meet continued with the 100 fly. S. Gross (1:08.27), D. Tyagi (1:09.72) and S. Yang (1:12.27) showed their skill in this challenging race. In the 100 free, L. Dufault finished under a minute with a time of 56.19, followed by S. Lakehal (1:03.04) and S. Woytash (1:04.01). In the grueling 500 free, M. Fuqua finished with a time of 5:17.61, K. Hogg 5:39.01 and E. Gardner 5:43.31. The 200 free relay had strong performances by all three of the Fairport relays - Tyagi, McGraw, Fuqua and Dufault, Yang, Hogg, Woytash and Lakehal-Ayat and Hageman, Chiang, Callan and Burris.

In the 100 back, H. Moore claimed a strong performance with a time of 1:07.71, closely followed by J. Kaminska (1:11.57) and S. Gross (1:16.50). The 100 breast had Carrie Ostrom touching the wall with a time of 1:17.12, T. Chiang 1:21.05 and M. Reisch 1:26.64.

The afternoon's final event - 400 free relay - showed Fairport's strength with Tyagi, Dufault, Moore and Carrie Ostrom finishing 3:58.88, Gardner, Woytash, Kaminska and Hogg (4:11.65) and Hageman, Lakehal-Ayat, Burris and Callan (4:24.03).

As the week ended, the Fairport She-Sharks had achieved a total of 26 best time performances in the two meets. The undefeated She-Sharks face a tough Pittsford on Oct. 14 at Pittsford Mendon High School.
