She-Sharks continue win streak into October

The Fairport She-Sharks faced the Webster Schroeder Warriors in Webster
on Oct. 4 to continue their win streak.
The first event of the afternoon, the 200 free relay, saw the Fairport teams
of Marlys Fuqua, Lauren Dufault, Erin McGraw and Morgan Reisch taking first
(1:56.44), Carly Callan, Carrie Ostrom, Stephanie Yorio and Heather Moore
third and Tiffany Chiang, Suzanne Flynn, Jenn Kaminska and Susan Yang fifth.
In the 200 free, Fairport's Kendra Hogg finished third (2:06.40) followed by
Clare Ostrom in fourth (2:06.50) and Stephanie Gross in fifth (2:18.92).
The meet continued with the 200 IM. Dufault had a strong swim with a first
place finish in a time of 2:15.10. She was followed by teammates M. Fuqua in
second and Lindsey Burris in fourth. In the 50 free, Fairport's McGraw came
in first (24.81) followed by Devina Tyagi in third and Emily Gardner in
sixth.
The Fairport and Webster divers faced off in the next event of the
afternoon. When the ripples from the last dive had subsided, She-Shark diver
Gretchen Schroeder finished in second place followed by teammates Becky
Bersani in third and Becca Kraft in a close fourth.
The racing continued with Fairport's Clare Ostrom finishing first in the 100
fly (1:07.18), Staci Woytash second (1:08.56) and S. Yorio third (1:09.29).
In the 100 free, Erin McGraw finished first with a time of 54.31, T. Chang
fifth and C. Callan sixth.
In the afternoon's longest race, the 500 free, Sarah Lakehal-Ayat finished
second in 5:52.52, followed by H. Moore in third place and Ca. Ostrom in
fourth. The 200 free relay saw the Fairport teams of L. Dufault, D. Tyagi,
Cl. Ostrom and E. McGraw taking first (1:44.64), J. Kaminska, S. Yorio, K.
Hogg and T. Chiang third and C. Callan, S. Woytash, S. Yang and S.
Lakehal-Ayat fifth.
The 100 back saw Fuqua finishing first (1:03.20), followed closely by E.
Gardner (1:09.96) in third and M. Reisch (1:11.29) in fourth. In the 100
breast, L. Dufault took first (1:11.50), L. Burris third (1:17.86) and S.
Gross fifth (1:19.98).
The last event of the afternoon, the 400 free relay saw the Fairport teams
D. Tyagi, Clare Ostrom, E. Gardner and M. Fuqua finishing with an exhibition
time of 3:55.62, K. Hogg, H. Moore, M. Reisch, and Carrie Ostrom finishing
with an exhibition time of 4:09.15 and S. Lakehal-Ayat, J. Kaminska, T.
Chiang and S. Woytash finishing with an exhibition time of 4:22.27.
