The She-Sharks began their meet against Rush-Henrietta with three keen performances by the teams of Devina Tyagi, Clare Ostrom, Erin McGraw and Carrie Ostrom (2:01.49); Heather Moore, Lindsey Burris, Stephanie Yorio and Kendra Hogg (2:06.03) and Stephanie Gross, Suzanne Flynn, Morgan Reisch and Tiffany Chiang (2:13.79). Solid swims were seen in the 200 free by Marlys Fuqua (1:57.15), Lauren Dufault (1:59.99) and Sarah Lakehal-Ayat (2:15.54). Clare Ostrom touched first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:25.08 tracked by Jenn Kaminska (2:33.81) and Tyagi (2:34.26). The trio of McGraw, Chiang and Yang swiftly completed the 50 free with times of 25.28, 29.06 and 29.60, respectively.

Fairport's divers went unopposed in this meet. Coach Dave Salmon let the girls try out some new and very exciting dives in competition for the first time providing spectators with more thrills.

Returning to the pool Fuqua (1:02.19), Gross (1:07.97) and Carrie Ostrom (1:18.11) all had good performances in the 100 fly. Tyagi (1:00.25), Hogg (1:01.27) and Chang (1:04.75) were all rock steady in the 100 free. Clare Ostrom was Fairport's only dual event winner this meet taking the 500 free in 5:46.01. McGraw and Dufault also swam very strong races in this event.

In the 200 free relay, Fuqua, Gardner, Gross and Clare Ostrom swam a solid 1:49.81 followed by the teams of Carrie Ostrom, Reisch, Hogg and Lakehal-Ayat in 1:55.51 and Yorio with divers Kraft, Schroeder and Bersani in 2:06.34.

Moore led the Fairport 100 back with a time of 1:08.53 chased by Woytash (1:10.05) and Callan (1:14.39). The 100 breast saw skilled performances by Kaminska (1:20.36), Burris (1:21.51) and Chiang (1:25.20). The event concluding this meet ( the 400 free relay) proved to have stalwart performances by the teams of Reisch, Tyagi, Dufault and Moore (3:55.41); Gardner, Carrie Ostrom, Yorio and Hogg (4:07.41) and Woytash, Lakehal-Ayat, Gross and Callan (4:25.74).

The She-Sharks next home meet is on Thursday, Oct. 7 at 4:30 against Gates Chili.
