Fairport 119, Olympia/Arcadia 54

Facing off against Greece, Fairport had strong performances in the 200
medley relay with the teams of Emily Gardner, Lauren Dufault, Clare Ostrom
and Kendra Hogg touching in 2:03.48; Carly Callan, Jenn Kaminska, Marlys
Fuqua and Sarah Lakehal-Ayat with 2:08.99 and Susan Yang, Carrie Ostrom,
Staci Woytash and Steph Yorio finishing with a strong 2:10.59.
The 200 free was handled with ease by Erin McGraw (1:58.11), Morgan Reisch
(2:08.78) and Heather Moore (2:10.13). The 200 IM saw Fairport with a 1-2
finish by Gardner (2:25.64) and Woytash (2:30.06) and Lindsey Burris
finishing in 2:40.81. The 50 free saw Fuqua touch first with 26.76 followed
by Tiffany Chiang (29.36) and Steph Gross (29.50).
The Fairport divers again proved that they excel in aerial acrobatics. Becky
Bersani won first by setting a personal best score of 202.6. She was
followed closely by Gretchen Schroeder (189.1) and Becca Kraft (144.5).
Returning to the pool Gross and Yorio claimed another 1-2 finish for
Fairport in the 100 fly with times of 1:07.67 and 1:08.5, respectively,
while Chaing swam a personal best of 1:16.64. Dufault topped the field in
the 100 free with 55:88 with Gardner (1:00.39) and Moore (1:00.79) swimming
a close race.
Reisch cruised to victory in the 500 free (5:42.17) chased by Devina Tyagi
(5:50.56) and Lakehal-Ayat (5:54.09). The 200 free relay saw the Fairport
teams of McGraw, Yorio, Gardner and Chiang (1:51.46); Burris, Gross, Clare
Ostrom and Fuqua (1:53.98) swim a tight race. The team of Moore and our
three divers Kraft, Bersani, and Schroeder came in strongly with 2:09.64.
The 100 back saw Callan touching in 1:11.38, Hogg in 1:13.98 and Carrie
Ostrom in 1:15.80. Dufault (1:13.67), Kaminska (1:21.20) and Yang (1:26.27)
all had excellent performances in the 100 breast. Finishing out the meet
with Greece, the 400 free relay had great swims by the teams of Reisch,
McGraw, Gross and Chiang (4:07.22); Lakehal-Ayat, Carrie Ostrom, Moore and
Kaminska (4:13.92) and Woytash, Callan, Burris and Hogg (4:25.69).
