January 23, 2004 - Pittsford and Fairport finished 1-2 in rankings of the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association for Class A girls swimming teams in the state. Maurice Keating coached two-time Section V-champion Pittsford, and Fairport was led by Mike Kennedy. Victor, coached by Keith Shields, was the highest-finishing Class B team. The sectional champions were third.
