 The girls returned to the pool on Sept. 18, for an important meet against Rush-Henrietta.

In the 200 medley relay, Fairport captured first with the team of Erin McGraw, Clare Ostrom, Erin Legg and Suzanne Flynn. The team of Heather Moore, Melanie Roberts, Kim Kenny and Jen Kaminska placed fourth. Stephanie Yorio, lindsey Burris, Carrie Kroll and Emily Vaughn placed fifth for Fairport. In the 200 free, Lauren Dufault placed first and Kendra Hogg closely followed, capturing third with a time of 2:15.26.

Melanie Roberts continued Fairport drive in the 200 IM. Roberts captured a decisive first. Clare Ostrom placed second with a time of 2:23.86 and Lindsay Burris placed third.

Erin McGraw turned in the winning first place time in the 50 free. Suzanne Flynn placed third 28.58 and Sarah Lakehal-Ayat placed sixth.

The divers continued to demonstrate competence and grace under pressure with a 1-2-3 sweep. Gretchen Schroeder placed first for Fairport with 179.30 points. She was closely followed by teammate Lauren Fuqua, who placed second with 177.05 points. Becky Kraft rounded out third place for Fairport.

The 100 fly followed the diving competition. Fairport's Marlys Fuqua finished first with a time of 1:03.34. Default quickly followed, placing third overall and Carly Callan placed sixth. Both Dufault and Callan posted best times.

Fairport continued its domination with the 100 free event. Erin McGraw rocketed into first place with a 55.92 time. Teammate Stephanie Yorio placed third, and Jen Kaminska finished with a best time, fifth overall. The 500 free saw Fairport extend their lead with a 1-2-3 sweep. Melanie Roberts led the attack finishing with an impressive 5:22.92. Placing second and third, respectively, were Erin Legg and Lakehal-Ayat. Legg scored a best time. The 200 free event had the team of Burris, Yorio, Hogg and Moore finish first for Fairport, while the team of Kenny, Kroll, Callan and Vaughan placed second for Fairport.

Fuqua continued to display dedication during the 100 back, placing first. Ostrom finished closely in third with a time of 1:08.58 and Kaminska placed fifth. In the 100 breast, Kim Kenny touched first for Fairport with a time of 1:20.64 Heather Moore and Carrie Kroll swam exhibition. Both Moore and Kroll posted best times.

For the final event, the 400 relay, Fairport's team of Yorio, Vaughan, Fuqua and Hogg placed second. Swimming exhibition for Fairport were Burris, Dufault, Legg and Lakehal-Ayat.
