Fairport Dunks Irondequoit

October 18, 2001 - The Fairport She-Sharks traveled to Irondequoit on Thursday, Oct. 18, and came away with their eighth win of the season.

As this meet was swum in a five-lane pool, the scoring changes since each team is restricted to two entries per event. The fifth lane in each event is swum as exhibition. Both teams must use their swimmers' strengths to their advantage to maximize the team score in order to win the meet. Once again, Fairport coach Mike Kennedy provided an outstanding lineup to position for the win and the Fairport swimmers demonstrated their swimming prowess to secure the victory.

Finishing first was the team of Marlys Fuqua, Erin Legg, Nicole DiBello and Becky Potvin, followed by the team of Christy Breen, Claire Ostrom, Katie Barbato and Stephanie Chan.
