Swimmers Win Over Rush-Henrietta

     

September 28, 2000 - The meet opened with Jessica Blaha, Erin Legg, Jill Diesel, and Jamie Adams placing first in the medley relay. In the 200 free, Nicole DiBello was first, followed by Kristin Schirmuhly in second, and Carla Reidy in fourth. Becky Potvin swam to first place in the 200 IM and Gillian Micoli took second place.

Swimming in the 50 free, Legg placed first and Christy Breen was third.

Diver Laurissa Prystaj won the diving competition, setting both pool and school records with a score of 254.6. The 100 yard butterfly was won by Adams.

Fairport picked up several points in the 100 free when Megan McGraw placed second, Kellie Kong was third, and Reidy was fourth. Potvin took another first place for Fairport in the 500 free and Blaha was third.

The team of Courtney Ames, Katelyn Byrnes, Schirmuhly, and Diesel placed second in the 200 free relay.

Touching first in the 100 yard back was Adams while Krista Larson and Breen swam exhibition in the event. Maureen McCullough gained team points by taking third in the 100 breast as Katie Barbato and Byrnes swam exhibition.

The last event, the 400 free relay, was won by DiBello, Reidy, Kong, and McGraw.

Fairport's overall record is 2-0.
