“The She Sharks had a tremendous season this year. Led by Coach Marilyn Thomas and tri-captains Sarah Whitney, Kathy Kilian, and Cary Gordon, the girls chomped all their competitors to finish the season with a 9-0 record. Their main goal for the year was to defeat Newburgh Free Academy, the team that shared with them the No. 1 State Ranking last year. they succeeded in doing this and carried their winnings through to Sectionals, where 6 of the team members qualified for the State Meet. The 1986 She Sharks are a talented and committed team, and there's every reason to hope for top standings again in '87. Good luck to the graduating seniors and congratulations to all of the 1986 swimmers.”
